As any facility professional will tell you, managing facilities is a major juggling act. You need to be hyper-aware of the day to day maintenance and "fires" that pop up, think long-term regarding the lifecycle of your buildings and assets, be the financial steward- setting priorities and budgets and be a leader and mentor to your staff. For school districts, keeping all of these balls in the air with limited staff and budget is next to impossible. There are trade-offs and wish lists that inevitably occur. At MasterLibrary, our strength has always been our knowledge and management of facilities and their lifecycles. All buildings go through a plan-design-build-manage model and having data and tools at each stage is critical for the long term health and planning of your buildings. As such, we have resources and services outside of software that help school districts get to their facility wish lists and support their long term goals. MasterLibrary's Professional Services are run and managed by facility professionals with experience and background in the industry. The primary service offered by our Pro Services team is Asset Surveying. If your district lacks reliable data about specific AMEP or Technology subsystems, components or devices, MasterLibrary staff can perform on-site asset surveys including floor plan location and capturing varying levels of asset data. Onsite asset survey services allow school districts to obtain specific types of high-value data about their facilities systems and subsystems, including: asset location, documentation of manufacturer, make, model and serial number for assets, photos of assets. Additional add-on services include: QR Codes affixed to physical assets for easy data retrieval and preventative maintenance schedule creation. "MasterLibrary Professional Services offers a unique opportunity for a district to get a large number of assets loaded into both ML Work Orders and ML Drawings with minimal effort required from internal staff. ML makes the initial lift to build out the assets module in ML Work Orders manageable, often districts do not have the available hours to dedicate a staff member to complete this survey work. The initial survey lays the groundwork for tracking parts, labor, work-orders, notes and general data about an asset to start telling the story of that piece of equipment," explains Dylan Mercier, head of Professional Services. In addition to asset surveying, services also include strategic planning, harvesting existing documentation, periodic records maintenance and CAD/Revit drawing services.
Mike Wurster, Assistant Superintendent at Union Springs Central School District had this to say about his ML Pro Services engagement: "(MasterLibrary) has really helped our District move the ball down the field in terms of managing our facilities and being proactive in building out our preventive maintenance program." Currently, on-site professional services are being offered in New York State but expanding. Virtual services like strategic planning and CAD/Revit drawing services are available to all customers nationwide. For more information on ML Professional Services, click here. Comments are closed.
