Thomas C. Rauscher is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MasterLibrary. He is responsible for leading the company’s mission to help organizations improve facilities planning, construction, and management.
Prior to starting MasterLibrary, Tom was Founder and President of Archi-Technology LLC, a technology consulting firm that specialties in the planning, design, construction, and management of technology infrastructure (cables, pathways, spaces) and IP-based facility systems such as Communications, Security, and Instructional.
MasterLibrary was developed based on the real-world issues Tom experienced in the construction industry where carbon copies and clipboards were far more common than computers. The convergence of the internet, databases, and wireless technologies led to the release of ML Projects Construction Administration software which is still in use today.
Tom has been actively involved in the cabling industry for more than 35 years and volunteered countless hours to help greatly expand the presence of telecommunications and IP-connected devices in the Construction Specification Institute’s MasterFormat. His contributions were recognized when he was awarded a CSI Fellowship.
A graduate of the University of Rochester with a BS in Psychology, Tom enjoys boating, being around the water, and spending time with his grandkids and family.
Tom’s personal and professional philosophies permeate MasterLibrary. “Always look for ways to exceed customer expectations through proactive and strategic thinking. Thinking in terms of a-quarter-of-a-decade instead of a -quarter-of-a-year requires you to always do what is fair and honest. Always do right by the customer and they will take care of you.”

As Sales Manager, Aaron Barley is responsible for helping facility managers around the U.S. in K12 and other markets solve some of their most challenging operational and planning challenges with MasterLibrary products and services.
While Aaron has spent much of the last eight years finding new business opportunities and conducting customized product demos, one of his biggest roles is that of detective…uncovering secondary and tertiary ways that ML products can help prospective customers reach and even exceed their goals.
“Customers quickly notice a salesperson that truly puts their organization’s needs first and are much more likely to recommend your product or service to their peers. Over time, your commitment to customer success results in a loyal customer base built on mutual trust and dependability. As you continue to display a customer-first mindset, your reputation not only increases among your customer base but within your organization as well. Putting customers first is the most important path to continued sales success.”
A graduate of Canisius College with a BS in Criminal Justice, Aaron enjoys spending time with his two boys, working out, sports (Go Cowboys!), and traveling.
